Aircraft history:

The aircraft was flight ferried to Israel in the early days of February 1971, as part of “Peace Echo 1” deal and was introduced into the photo reconnaissance flight of the “Bat” squadron at Tel-Nof air base, where it was allocated the tail number 196.

By the end of the 70’s it was transferred to the photo reconnaissance flight of the “Hammers” squadron, at Ramat-David air base, where it was allocated the tail number 496.The aircraft was operated in this squadron, on low level photo reconnaissance missions until the squadron’s disbanded in 1994.

Subsequently, it was transferred to the photo reconnaissance flight of the “Knights of the Orange Tail” squadron, at Hatzerim air base.By December 31, 1994, this photo reconnaissance flight was disbanded and the aircraft was transferred to the photo reconnaissance flight of the “Bat” squadron, at Tel-Nof air base.

Since the aircraft inventory of the photo reconnaissance flight of the “Bat” squadron was full, a new photo reconnaissance flight was formed within the “One” squadron at Tel-Nof air base.
The aircraft was transferred to this new photo reconnaissance flight, where it was operated until being withdrawn from service.

The aircraft was last seen at Tel-Nof air base in November 2005.
